Nutrition, food, eating. Different aspects of the same issue. An issue that no matter where we are living, what we are doing or how old we are plays an important role in our daily life.
During our initial existence on earth, food monopolized our thoughts. Our whole existence revolved around it. In the thousands of years that have passed our civilization has totally changed. Slowly in the beginning and more rapidly as time passed. Through these changes our needs and our values has also changed. Today food remains a necessity but its place as a priority has moved further down in the scale of our daily needs. We are eating when we have time and sometimes if we have! We are eating fast, often under stress and often between other things that we are doing!And to make things even worse, the quality of what we are eating, because of farming and production methods, has been diminished, even drastically sometimes!You see food became a target of the modern industry. Its no longer about nutrition and quality but instead about mass production and bigger profit margins. As a result we have access to a huge variety of food products, at least most of us in the west society. What we don’t realize is that through the diminishing of the quality of the food, it has actually become a poison for us! A slow one (and that’s the worst about it), but for sure an effective one!
Except this, eating has also become a way of socializing and having fun. Because of this situation we often, eat things that under normal circumstances we would never eat. Or we eat at totally the wrong time for our bodies and in the wrong quantities!
I believe we can understand that as a result of all these factors, diseases that would normally only affect some of us and only in our later years, are occurring more and more often to increasing numbers of people and at a much younger age! Our answer to this is not to change the habits that actually provoking these problems, but to attempt to solve them through modern medicine, adding, for the most part more chemicals to our bodies and thus actually harming more our already weaken health!
I have to leave the question why and what to do for the actual seminar. What I can now tell you is that our body is a huge and admirable factory! Yes it can adjust it self to a lot of unfavorable situations but at the end it is also following the laws of the nature. What we must realize is that the body is directly affected by what we put inside it.
We have to remember that health isn’t just the absence of disease or any other kind of symptoms. Vitamins, minerals, hormones, enzymes etc. are the keys not only to our good health but to our whole existence. We now know that the production and the existence of all these in our bodies is strictly connected with the quality and the variety of the food that we are eating.
And we also know that the existence of all the above in the proper amounts or not, is affecting also the way that we are thinking and feeling! That means that our whole existence (and not only our physical health) is dependant on what we are eating! The “we are what we eat” that Hippocrates said 2500 years ago is now scientifically proved. And not only this. Like he also said “our medicine should be our food and our food should be our medicine”.
This last sentence is the golden key to our health. And yes, it is possible to achieve something like this in your daily life! And no, you don’t need any dramatic changes in order to succeed! What you need is to have the awareness of what you are doing – eating – buying.
On this day you are not going to learn any strange names, types or combinations. Nοr any kind of new found super effective diets that could make you what ever you dream.
But I can promise you one thing. In these few hours I will show you the simplicity that lies behind all this philosophy! And at the same time the wisdom with which our bodies are created! Once you understand this then you will realize that the only logical choice is to follow these principles!
